Lango is a pan-African real estate platform offering a quality portfolio of income-generating commercial assets. Since its launch in 2018, Lango has positioned itself as an emerging leader in the African real estate market, with a strategic focus on acquiring prime commercial properties in key gateway cities across the continent. Jointly established by Ninety One (formerly Investec Asset Management) and Growthpoint Properties, Lango commenced operations in March 2018. The business has demonstrated strong growth, with a diversified portfolio spanning four African countries and a total asset value exceeding $800 million. During the first half of FY25, Lango acquired approximately $200 million worth of retail and office assets from Hyprop Investments Limited and Attacq Limited, further strengthening its portfolio. As of 31 December 2024, Lango completed the internalisation of its asset management function and redomiciled to the United Kingdom. This strategic shift resulted in Lango’s reclassification from Growthpoint Investment Partners to International Investments, reflecting its evolving role and scale within Growthpoint’s offshore portfolio.
