(Chairman) Non-Executive
Rhidwaan started his career at KPMG before joining Mobil Oil Southern Africa in 1986 as a Project Accountant. He served as Financial Director at Engen Limited before moving on to become the Chief Executive Officer of Energy Africa Limited, the only listed independent pan African upstream oil company. He is Lead Independent Director at AngloGold Ashanti Limited and chairs the Audit Committee of MTN Nigeria Communications plc.

Represented the SA REIT Association as lead negotiator and signatory to the Property Sector Transformation Charter and chaired its REIT Committee, which negotiated and finalised the South African REIT tax and regulatory legislation with the SA National Treasury, SA Revenue.

Ended 15 years in the auditing profession as an audit partner with the former Ernst & Young before joining the JD Group Limited in November 1995, where he was appointed to its Board in April 2001 as the Chief Financial Officer having fulfilled that role for 12 years. Director of major Group subsidiaries.

Over 30 years’ experience in many aspects of the property industry, including greenfields development, redevelopment of properties, student accommodation, property banking and property equity investment.

An experienced private equity investor with a career spanning 29 years. Based in London, he is well known in the South African market. John was a partner at Actis, where he was responsible for managing Actis’ private equity business in Africa. He was a founding partner of Ethos Private Equity, a leading South African investor. He chairs the board of Comcorp Holdings (Pty) Ltd and is an independent Investment Committee member of Nedbank’s CIB and of private equity funds managed by Ninety One Asset Management.

Melt served as CEO at Attacq Limited (Attacq) for three years and had occupied the position of CFO at Attacq for five years. He was instrumental in the listing of Attacq on the JSE in 2013 and the company’s conversion to a REIT in 2018. He was the Chief Risk Officer at WesBank serving on the Executive Management team. Melt had several credit-related roles at FirstRand Limited and Nedbank Group Limited. He is currently an Independent Non-executive Director on the Board of MAS Real Estate Inc and privately owned agriculture businesses. Melt is an independent adviser to FNB Commercial on credit-related matters for their real estate portfolio and distressed clients.

Clifford Raphiri has been appointed to the Board effective 1 March 2022 as an independent non-executive Director and serves as a member on the Social, Ethics and Transformation and Audit Committees. He is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and spent several years at SABMiller holding various senior operational roles. Clifford was previously an operational executive with over 20 years of experience in a corporate setup and spent several years in the SABMiller stable, holding increasingly senior operational roles. He was responsible for a remit of R9bn revenue and 2600 across key brewery plants and four depots. He currently serves as Chair of Nampak’s Remuneration Committee and was previously the Chair of Adcock Ingram and member of their Remuneration Committee.

Eileen is an IT executive who departed Gijima where she was the Chief Executive Officer, responsible for the turnaround strategy to enable Gijima to reach its full potential as one of the leading top three ICT companies in South Africa. She has also held two CIO roles with Anglo American and Old Mutual, where she was involved in the development, definition, and implementation of the ICT strategy, as well as major ERP projects such as SAP and Oracle, and the Compass insurance platform across these organisations. She serves on the Shoprite Holdings and Sasfin Holdings Board and is Chair of the Sasfin RemCo. Eileen also holds a Post Graduate Diploma – Digital Business.
